Provider: How do discount codes work?

You distribute discount codes to your sales outlets. The sales outlet passes the code on to its customers, and the tourist redeems it when making a direct booking.

Important: A sales outlet cannot redeem a code itself. The discount only applies if the tourist books directly with you.

📱 Create codes

  1. Open “Discount Codes” and tap “Create Discount Codes”
  2. Under “Recipient,” select the sales outlet—either via an existing account or by email
  3. Enter the discount per code and the number of codes
  4. Optional: Enter a date under “Valid Until.” After that date, the code is invalid
  5. Optional: Add an “Internal Note”—only you can see this
  6. Tap “Generate”

After that, you’ll need to share the codes—either via “Share” or “Share via Email.” If you go back before doing so, the codes will be automatically deleted and the recipient won’t receive anything.

If you enter an email address, please make sure the recipient knows that we’ll store it—solely for code assignment, not for advertising.

Revoke codes

Tap “Revoke” to invalidate a batch of codes. Unused codes will no longer work after that; codes that have already been redeemed remain unchanged.

If it doesn’t work

The tourist will see these messages when redeeming a code:

  • Code invalid — the code does not exist (often a typo).
  • Code already redeemed — each code can only be used once.
  • Code expired — the date listed under “Valid until” has passed.
  • Code withdrawn — the batch has been revoked.
  • Code is valid for a different event — codes are tied to the event for which you created them.
